ACANA is a non-profit organization comprising the finest and most reputable air charter service providers in North America. ACANA was founded in 2007 by five leading air charter brokerage companies on the principle of promoting best practices, ethics and transparency to air charter service providers in order to improve the air charter industry.

ACANA was also founded to provide a benchmark for professionalism and excellence, and serves to protect the best interests of air charter brokers, air carriers, and consumers.

Strengthen the Relationship between Charter Brokers and Operators

Although ACANA was originally founded in 2007 as a broker-only organization, ACANA recognizes the importance of aircraft operator participation to help it promote best practices and professionalism to air charter service providers throughout the industry. By including aircraft operators ACANA provides a forum allowing air charter brokers and aircraft operators to discuss ways to improve overall broker-operator industry relations.

Promote Best Practices in the Air Charter Industry

It is ACANA's belief that an air charter broker's success relies greatly on operators. Thus ACANA invites honest and reliable operators to join the organization to help set the benchmark of excellence for other air carriers in a manner consistent with how ACANA broker members strive to set the benchmark for air charter brokers.

Self-Regulate Charter Broker Activity

ACANA seeks to standardize member activity through self regulation and the promotion of best practices and professionalism. Our goal is to establish a strict set of guidelines that air charter brokers must adhere to in order to hold ACANA membership. Therefore, we invite aircraft operators to join ACANA to help identify and promote these best practices.

Establish ACANA Membership as the Industry Standard for Charter Brokers

Among ACANA's goals is that the guidelines set forth by the organization and adhered to by its members become recognized as the "industry standard", paving the way for honest, reliable service providers. To that end, we have developed and continue to refine minimum requirements and standards that air charter brokers must meet in order to gain and retain ACANA membership. Air carrier input in developing those standards is critical to understanding and gaining industry-wide acceptance of ACANA standards for air charter brokers.
